Keeping Long Island’s Water Flowing

The Nassau Suffolk Water Commissioners’ Association (NSWCA) was organized and chartered in 1981 to promote environmental excellence, sustainability and to advance the highest standards of water quality, supply and distribution.

Composed of locally elected Water Commissioners from 21 Nassau and Suffolk County Water Districts, we provide information crucial to water district management and operational effectiveness. The NSWCA supports education and training, provides advice, direction and information on industry-wide issues, and maintains legislative advocacy as well as public relations support.

Through regular meetings and outreach, the  NSWCA helps to ensure that all 21 member districts are knowledgeable about pertinent developments, apprised of resources and potential difficulties, and remain fully accountable to constituents at all times.
